IT Support Specialist (f/m/d)

The Front Office and Helpdesk department is responsible for the IT support of our 3000 PC workstations at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (HZB) at the Wannsee and Adlershof sites. As a member of our IT service team, you are the first point of contact for our employees with IT problems and are faced with a variety of tasks on a daily basis. We are looking for you as a dedicated IT support employee working on our campus in Berlin-Wannsee starting on June 1st, 2025.Your Tasks
- Initial setup and commissioning of PC workstations and mobile devices (such as smartphones, tablets, etc.)
- Installation and configuration of additional software and apps in consultation with the user
- Documentation of all work steps in the client management system
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving issues with PC workstations and mobile devices
- Assisting users with problems and providing support in handling software
Your Profile
- Training as an IT Systems Electronics Technician, IT Specialist for System Integration, or equivalent knowledge and skills acquired through several years of professional experience in the above mentioned tasks
- Excellent knowledge of system architecture, hardware and operating systems (especially MS Windows)
- Strong expertise in smartphones and tablets, including their operating systems (focus on iOS and Android)
- Excellent German language skills (spoken and written) and good English skills
- Experience and knowledge in IT service management according to ITIL

The employment contract is unlimited. The salary is based on the Collective Agreement for the German Public Service (TVöD-Bund).
