Would you like to develop customised and user-oriented components using state-of-the-art machines and CAD systems in design and production? Then the "B. Eng. in Mechanical Engineering - Design and Production" degree programme is just right for you!It includes both a theoretical part, which is taught at the Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR), and a practical part, which you will complete in the design department at the HZB in Berlin-Wannsee or Berlin-Adlershof.Using 3D CAD systems, we design precision mechanical assemblies for the needs of the entire centre, create production documents and accompany projects through to delivery and commissioning. We use analysis and calculation tools such as ANSYS-FEM for this. - You will acquire basic skills in metalworking and mechanical machining processes (drilling, milling, etc.).
- You will have the opportunity to acquire practical skills in machining and non-cutting production technology and design.
- You will familiarise yourself with modern CAD and calculation programmes.
- You will create production-ready drawings of detailed designs.
- You will have the opportunity to take part in varied and exciting projects in line with the progress of your studies.
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of scientific subjects (maths/physics)
- Good knowledge of German and English
- Willingness and ability to work in a project team
