PhD student on “Ferroelectric devices for neuromorphic computing”

In the Institute IFOX at HZB, we work on functional oxide thin films and nanostructures combined with semiconductors for energy-efficient information technology. We focus on material synthesis, detailed structural characterization using advanced methods, and on device properties for neuromorphic computing applications.
You will work in the framework of the ERC Advanced Grant LUCIOLE (Layering, Understanding, Controlling, Integrating Ferroelectric Polar textures on Silicon).
You will develop 2- and 3-terminal devices integrating ferroelectric polar textures and investigate their electrical behavior. The electrical manipulation of polar textures will be explored.

Fixed term contract for 48 months. The salary is based on the Collective Agreement for the German Public Service (TVöD-Bund).
